Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

On January 25, 2020 employees of Guardians participated in the 2020 Race for the Cure supporting breast cancer awareness and research. We were honored to support and encourage the fighters, surviviors, and those who lost the battle to this terrible disease. Over 15,000 people attended the event this year that generated more than $500,000 in donations.

Fall Festival

On October 24, 2019 Guardians was the main sponsor of Fall Festival in Palm Springs. There were Halloween costume contests, rides, candy and food trucks at the event. We met with many current, and hopefully future members of our credit union of all ages.

On October 18-19, 2019, Guardians sponsored Spookyville at the South Florida Fairgrounds. We gave out nearly 600 of our special Halloween pencils and lots of candy to the children who visited our booth.

    Stronger than Cancer 5k

On October 5, 2019, Guardians CU supported the Stronger than Cancer Superhero 5k benefitting POST, the Pediatric Oncology Support Team. We had runners and walkers in the 5k, a table with information about the credit union, and lots of giveaways.

    Sweet Corn Fiesta

On April 28, 2019, Guardians CU sponsored the Sweet Corn Fiesta. Local farmers brought in corn and vegetables that were grown in western Palm Beach County. The annual festival is a celebration of the sweet corn growing season buttered with a family festival of children's games, music, a national eating competition and oh yes, mouth-watering a locally grown sweet corn! We handed out bags and our ever popular yellow pencils and answered questions. And, our corn hats were definitely the envy of the other vendors!

    Keep America Beautiful

On April 27, 2019, Guardians CU was honored to be a part of the 65+ participants that helped clean up the Snook Island shoreline as part of the nationwide day of service called Keep America Beautiful. Over 8 cubic yards of debris was removed from this environmentally sensitive area!

There was about a mile and a half of intracoastal shoreline where litter was picked up. Additionally, kayaks were used to paddle out to the Islands and picking litter off of the rocks. The Snook Islands are an environmentally sensitive area providing habitat for many species of birds and fish. Trash and occasionally other interesting objects, like room-sized rugs and kitchen sinks, wash up as well. We did not see any kitchen sinks this time!

    March for Babies

On April 27, 2019, Guardians CU supported the WPB March for Babies at CityPlace in Downtown West Palm Beach. We joined more than 6,000 people who completed the three mile walk to raise money in order to help give every baby a fighting chance. It was a beautiful morning and our team raised $150 to donate to this most worthy cause.
