Guardians CU is now a

Juntos Avanzamos designated credit union

Committed to Serving and Empowering Hispanic and Immigrant Consumers

On Friday, May 3, Guardians Credit Union celebrated our recent national designation as a Juntos Avanzamos credit union. Pablo deFelippe of Inclusiv (formerly the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions) presented the proclamation to Guardians' CEO John Deese and Chairman Tom Shea. Maria Antuna of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and Jordan Borroughs of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions spoke about how this designation will benefit the community. After, guests enjoyed performances by Okeeheelee Middle School's La Tuna, Mariachi Pancho Villa and Bolivian dancers, as well as delicious Cuban food.

Juntos Avanzamos ("Together We Advance") is a designation for credit unions committed to serving and empowering Hispanic and immigrant consumers — helping them navigate the U.S. financial system and providing safe, affordable and relevant financial services. Juntos Avanzamos credit unions employ bilingual, culturally-competent staff and leadership, accept alternative forms of ID and treat all of their members with respect, regardless of immigration status.
